Individual assessment for the group work

By default, each member of the group will received the same group mark. As long as the group functions effectively as a team, equal distributions of marks across group members is appropriate. Occasionally, it is appropriate to give different marks to different members of the group, usually when one or more group member does not engage with the rest of the group, and does little or no work. Be aware, however, that sometime a group member can feel ``locked out'' from the rest of the group, due to shyness on that group member's part, or cultural or social rifts between group members. red Please let the lecturers know of any problems or breakdowns in the group's functioning as soon as possible.
