Semester 1:
The structure and theory of games (JLS)
Weeks 2 - 7:
Lectures, readings, and problem exercises on game theory and solving games.
Weeks 8 - 12:
Group project work. You will work in groups of between 2 and 4 students. You will make a bot which plays a particular two-player game. It will then participate in a tournament with the other groups' bots.

During the group project work, there will be Zoom sessions at the scheduled times, Monday at 3pm and Thursday at 1pm where groups can work together, and get help from TAs and the lecturer. However, students are not required to attend these session, except during the following weeks when attendance is required:

Week 9:
You must declare what you are going to do, and how to divide up the tasks. You must also upload a proforma with this information to Blackboard.
Week 12:
Presentations of your approach. Some presentations may be in the previous week, due to the high number of students this year.

Semester 2:
Pricing Games and Mechanism Design (XJZ)
Weeks 20 - 25:
Lectures and reading.
Weeks 26, 29 - 32:
Group project work. Just like the first semester, except your agent will employ learning.(Weeks 27 - 28 are Easter Break.)
Week 29:
(w/c April 12, 20211) You must declare what you are going to do, and how to divide up the tasks.
Week 32:
(w/c May 3, 20211) Presentations of your approach and submission of your bot to the tournament.
Project Due:
6pm May 7, 20211.
