Report

This is a group activity.

The group report must be hand written in LaTeX.

The size shall be 1500-2500 words per group member.

The final report should contain little or none of the preliminary project report content (however, you can refer to the preliminary report if you want).

Unless your group agrees a change with Dirk, the report will consist of the following sections:

• Introduction
• Contrasting Markup Languages and Scripting Languages
  (you may find comparisons of the `declarative' and `imperative' programming paradigms to be useful)
• Varieties of Markup Languages
• Features of Markup Languages
• Generating Markup Languages
  (e.g. you could compare HTML produced by hand, by LaTeX2HTML, by MS Word, by OpenOffice, and by Dreamweaver)
• Alternatives to Markup Languages
  (e.g. you could compare LaTeX with MS Word, HTML with PDF).
• Conclusions
• Appendix:
     - Contributions
        (This will list which members of the group contributed which sections.)
     - Self-reflection and Improvements
        Each member writes a self-reflective section (~300-500 words/member of the total 1500-2500 word budget) about what new skills have been learned throughout the foundation year project. Also write about what was good, what was weak about the project and what should be kept or modified for future foundation year projects.

(We don't just want you to regurgitate information. We want you to progress to higher levels in Bloom's taxonomy: from knowledge to comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation - e.g. comparing and contrasting alternatives.
